Experience, knowledge, commitment, and leadership all describe Select Board Chair Joe Connell. Joe is a tremendous asset to our town and we are all very fortunate that he and his wife, Kate, chose Lynnfield as the place to raise their family.
Joe was elected to the Select Board in 2021 and has been the chair since last April. He has constantly utilized the leadership, management and communication skills that he attained through his formal education, as well as his 30 years in the military where he reached the rank of colonel. He spends a tremendous amount of his time making sure his decisions are sound and financially responsible and that they are always in the best interest of the Town of Lynnfield.
Joe was also the chair of the Strategic Planning Committee that worked together from 2017 to 2020 to provide the Select Board with a comprehensive review of all the capital facilities in town, along with their recommendations and priorities. His leadership as chair has led to the school expansion project, public safety project, purchase of the Richardson Green property, progress on the Rail Trail, new war memorial, and the library renovation project that was recently introduced.
I have worked side by side with Joe over the past three years and I am continually amazed with his tireless work ethic and commitment to the town. Please join me and vote to reelect Joe Connell on April 9!
