The Peabody Area Chamber of Commerce’s annual Legislative Forum and Breakfast

The Peabody Area Chamber of Commerce’s annual Legislative Forum and Breakfast will be held on Tuesday, March 26 at the Boston Marriott Peabody, 8A Centennial Drive from 7 to 9:15 a.m.

The PACC supports and endorses economic development strategies that emphasize increasing the number of wealth-producing jobs, including the expansion of the number of businesses and residents paying taxes and fees into the system.  As business leaders dedicated to the economic vitality of our local business communities in Danvers, Lynnfield, Middleton, and Peabody, PACC focuses on issues that impact our region, including our communities, our businesses, and our citizens.

Join the PACC and Premier Sponsor North Shore Bank for our annual Legislative Breakfast Forum to discuss the current local business climate and issues facing local businesses in the coming year.

This year’s topics include:

  • City of Peabody Vision 2035 Master Plan — Mayor Ted Bettencourt
  • Business issues on the horizon — Chris Carlozzi, Nat Fed Independent Business: 
    • ​Unemployment fund increases
    • Expanded Family Medical Leave Act 
    • Pay equity mandates
  • Route 114 final design — Patrick Snyder, MassDOT
  • Central Street project — TBA

The doors open at 7 a.m. for registration, coffee, and networking. A full breakfast will be served at 7:30 a.m. with the forum following at 8 a.m.

The cost is $49 for members and $55 for non-members. Participants are asked to sponsor a Peabody High student at an additional cost of $40 per student.
