City seeks volunteers for Hazard Mitigation Committee

The City of Peabody has launched an effort to update its Local Hazard Mitigation Plan (LHMP).

The LHMP analyses natural hazards the city is susceptible to and identifies actions that can be implemented to reduce vulnerability and damage from these risks. The city is seeking engaged community members to be part of the LHMP Committee to assist the city in updating the plan.

Those interested in learning more about the committee and volunteering are encouraged to contact the city’s senior planner, Andrew Levin, andrew.levin@peabody-ma.gov for more information.
