On Friday, Nov.10, the Lynnfield Tree Committee and Art Guild led participants on a Tree Walk and Sketch at Reedy Meadow Golf Course. Our walk visited six trees while discussing their different characteristics, both for the role each plays in the environment and how they could be portrayed in an artistic form.
Together the participants learned about a variety of local trees and easy techniques for capturing those trees in sketches with pencil and ink, and how to really see beautiful local trees while you sketch them. Following a period of independent art creation, attendees reconvened to share their creations. Fall refreshments were provided.
