Item Player of the Week – Shea Lynch (Peabody Tanners)

You know what I’ve been thinking? Seven touchdowns is a lot, just ask Peabody quarterback Shea Lynch. If you ask anyone in town if Lynch can play ball, he or she will say he’s been able to for a while. That said, Friday night saw Lynch as the hero yet again. Lynch was firing the ball up and down the field in highlight-reel fashion, spreading the love up and down the roster while doing so. Three of his touchdowns went to Colin Ridley, two went to Eli Batista, and the other two found Alan Paulino. In total, Lynch recorded 453 passing yards to go with his seven touchdowns. Tanners’ Head Coach Mark Bettencourt said the yardage was a record-setting performance that may not be broken for a while, and I’d have to agree. Performances, or players, like this don’t come around often as Westford Academy had no answer for the gun-slinger in the 53-32 final at Trustees Field. History was created, and I end by saying: Shea Lynch, good week.
