Registration for the Peabody Recreation, Parks & Forestry Department’s Saugus/Peabody Youth Wrestling program is now open.
To get a close sampling of what the program is all about, program coaches are offering a demonstration on Tuesday, Dec. 5 at 6:30 p.m. The demonstration will be held at the Saugus Middle/High School in the multipurpose gymnasium. Participants will be able to see some of the current youth kids in action to decide if wrestling is a good fit for your child.
The program includes instruction, conditioning and games to expand on the fundamentals of wrestling and is appropriate for children of all ages.
Individuals are divided into groups based on age, weight, wrestling experience and ability. Sessions will be held on Tuesdays and Thursdays beginning Dec. 7 from 6:45-8:15 p.m. up to February vacation.
