The Rotary Club of Peabody will hold a Walk For Veterans immediately following the Veterans Day ceremonies at City Hall on Saturday, Nov. 11. At the end of the short walk, Rotarians will spend the afternoon cleaning the area around the Soldiers and Sailors monument and the monument itself, at Courthouse Plaza. Rotary’s motto is “Service Above Self” and we are indebted to those who served for us.

Additionally, we ask that residents spend some time that afternoon (and every day) assisting veterans by doing chores around their homes, running errands, or just keeping them company.
The walk will be led by the Peabody Veterans High School Junior ROTC Honor Guard, followed by veterans, Rotarians, public officials, and all those who wish to support our veterans. Rotarians will assist veterans who are in wheelchairs.
