The Select Board will be conducting a property tax classification public hearing on Monday, Nov. 28 at 6 p.m. at the Al Merritt Center, 600 Market St. (second floor).
The hearing is required under Massachusetts General Laws Chapter 40, Section 56, as amended.
The subject of the hearing concerns the allocation of the local property tax levy among the five property classes, as defined in Section 2-A of Massachusetts General Laws Chapter 59 for the fiscal year 2023, beginning on July 1, 2022.
Residents and interested persons are invited to attend the hearing.
Oral and signed, written testimony may be submitted to the Select Board at Town Hall, 55 Summer St., Lynnfield MA 01940 or via email to rcurtin@town.lynnfield.ma.us prior to 5 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 23 for consideration at the meeting.
