PEABODY, MA (April 2024) –Harriett and Ralph Kaplan Estates Assisted Living will host a special presentation with Dr. Jennifer Pilcher, a highly respected expert in Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias and the founder of Clear Guidance. Entitled “Navigating the Transition: A Guide for Families Moving Loved Ones into Memory Care Assisted Living,” the session on May 8 will include a Q&A as well as the opportunity to meet residents, families, and staff members. Jennifer Pilcher is the 2023 recipient of the President’s Award for Leadership and the Outstanding Chapter Member Award from the Aging Life Care Association.
According to Dr. Pilcher, there are key aspects families need to consider when transitioning a family member or friend into memory care living. She will address the specialized care environment, emphasizing safety and security, staff expertise, and the importance of individualized care plans.
