What’s happening at the Senior Center this May

Ask the Nurse: Nurse Karen Cronin from the Lynnfield Health Department visits our center on the first and third Wednesday of each month from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. She offers free blood pressure screenings and assistance with prescriptions and other health-related questions. On the third Wednesday of May, she will also provide free blood sugar screenings. Drop in.

NEW CLASS FUNctional Fit Class: Starting May 1 at 12:30 p.m. Engage in a low-impact cardio resistance training class using light weights, bands, balls, and exercises targeting core strength. Classes cost $5 each. Sign up with Lisa.

NEW CLASS Cardio Drumming Class: Starting May 1 at 1:30 p.m. This class is designed for seniors seeking to improve cardiovascular health, balance, and flexibility. Classes cost $5 each. Sign up with Lisa.

Friends of the COA Auction Fundraiser: The Dollar Up Auction Fundraiser is back by popular demand! Buy a paddle for $5 each and bid on a variety of beautiful items. Paddles are available now at the senior center. The auction will be held on Monday, May 20, at 12:30 p.m.

Bill Sarno: Bill returns! Join us for a presentation on the “Rat Pack” featuring Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, and Sammy Davis Jr. Discover what made them the ‘bad boys’ of the late ’50s and ’60s. Thursday, May 9, at 12 p.m. Sign up with Lisa.
