Fire

A report of a small brush fire near the off ramp at 4:27 p.m. Tuesday at 40B Route 128 North. Fire was extinguished.

Fireworks Complaint

Caller reported hearing a loud explosion nearby at 8:59 p.m. Tuesday at Paleologos Street. Officer was unable to locate the source and it is believed to be fireworks. 

Fraud

A walk-in report of check fraud at 5:12 p.m. Tuesday. 

Motor Vehicle Accidents

A report of a pedestrian struck by a vehicle at 7:17 a.m. Tuesday at Eileen Road. 

A report of a motor vehicle accident with injuries at 9:39 a.m. Tuesday at Summit Street.

A report of a motor vehicle accident resulting in a car on its side at 9:54 a.m. Tuesday at Central Street.

A report of a motor vehicle accident with injuries at 2:56 p.m. Tuesday at 243 Washington St.

Suspicious Activity

A report of a person in a hooded sweatshirt and khaki pants, going through mailboxes at 12:04 p.m. Tuesday at 19 Cleveland Road. Subject was gone on arrival.

A report of a juvenile throwing lighters and matches at other youths in front of the library at 6:05 p.m. Tuesday at 82 Main St. Juvenile in question was gone on arrival. 

Wednesday, Feb. 28

Arrests

David Pierce, 56, of Peabody, was arrested at 10:01 a.m. Wednesday at Railroad Avenue for offenses of disorderly conduct and a miscellaneous bylaw violation. 

Candace Elizabeth Niskala, 36, of Falmouth, was arrested at 7:15 p.m. Wednesday at Andover Street on a shoplifting by concealing merchandise charges, second offense. 

Fraud

A woman reported being a victim to an unemployment scam at 3:20 p.m. Wednesday at Newbury Street.

Suspicious Activity

A caller reported receiving an iPhone alert that she is being tracked by an AirTag at 6:23 p.m. Wednesday at Foster Street.

Thursday, Feb. 29

Arrests

Gabriella Fagone, 26, was arrested at 3:21 p.m. Thursday at Northend Street for operating under the influence of drugs, second offense. 

Joao Pedro Oliveira-Santos Faria, 22, was arrested at 8:19 p.m. Thursday at 27 Perkins St. and charged with unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle. 

Friday, Mar. 1

Hugo Jordan, 49, of Boston, was arrested at 6:39 p.m. Friday at 10 Newbury St. and charged with unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, failure to wear a seat belt, and improper window obstruction of motor vehicle.

Gretchen Tewksbury, 48, of North Andover was arrested at 7:34 p.m. Friday at 98 Main St. for operating on a suspended license.

A report of a motor vehicle accident with injuries at 7:27 p.m. Saturday at Route 128 South at Centennial Drive.
