Story Time

Wednesdays at 10 a.m.

Join us to sing songs and listen to stories! Recommended for children ages 5 and younger. This story time will be held in the Lynnfield Library Children’s Room. No registration required.  

Springtime Button Making for Teens

Thursday, March 21, 2:30 – 3:30 p.m.

Show off your style by making some buttons. We’ll provide some pre-made winter themed designs or you can make your own. Create your own by drawing or by filling out a custom button form. Using the form, Ms. Alex will help you to make your design come to life on Canva. Our button-maker will be set up until 3:30 p.m., so stop by anytime from 2:30-3:30 p.m. to make a button. Ages 11-18. Cardboard Robots!

Monday, March 25, 3:30 – 4:15 p.m.

Come make a cute robot out of a cardboard tube and other craft supplies. You can design it to look any way you like — and even use it as a puppet when you’re done! Ages 5 and older. Registration required. Go to the Lynnfield Library Calendar or call 781-334-5411 to register.

Paper Plate Crown

Saturday, March 30, 10 a.m. – 12 p.m.

Don’t you want to wear a crown and look fancy? Come decorate a crown however you want! The supplies will be ready in the Children’s Room from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Ages 4 and older. No registration required.  

Upcoming Adult Events

Yoga, All Levels Flow

Thursday, March 21, 12 – 1 p.m.

This is a 60-minute All Levels Flow yoga class that incorporates light hand weights into various parts of the routine to help build muscle and core strength. Optional 3-5-pound weights, yoga mat and yoga blocks are recommended, along with a water bottle.

Register with a valid email at least an hour prior to class start time to receive the link to join the class. You will receive an email with login information a half hour before the class begins.

Book Lovers: Non-fiction Book Group

Thursday, March 21, 6:30 – 7:30 p.m.

Join us for some great nonfiction book conversation – newcomers are always welcome! We will be meeting in person, on the Mezzanine. In March we’ll be reading “Pathogenesis: A History of the World in Eight Plagues” by Jonathan Kennedy. No registration required.  

Tea Time

Mondays, 9:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m.

Come by the library’s reading room for tea, coffee, or cocoa, to read the papers, and meet your neighbors.  We’ll be providing hot water and tea or instant coffee and cocoa for self-service beverages, and the reading materials.  You provide the company.  Come down to the library, and make yourself at home. No registration required.  Bringing your own reusable cups is encouraged.

Curious About Cuisine

Wednesday, March 27, 3 -4 p.m.

Back by popular demand, it’s Curious About Cuisine at the Lynnfield Library! Everyone loves food — even if they don’t like cooking or baking it themselves. You don’t have to be an avid home chef to attend Curious About Cuisine, all are welcome to learn a bit more about different cuisines and of course get a chance to taste them, too!

In March, please join us in welcoming Sweet Cheeks by Renee! Renee Terry is a confectionery artist who specializes in custom cookies. Before starting Sweet Cheeks, Renee honed and perfected her baking and piping artistry while working in specialty bakeries. After getting married and welcoming her firstborn, Renee began Sweet Cheeks. Since then, her signature confectionaries have become known for their striking designs, detailed precision, beautiful color palettes, and unforgettable taste. Renee now travels the country teaching others cookie decorating skills and new techniques. She had also competed and took home the win on Food Network’s Christmas Cookie Challenge, Season 5.
