To the editor:
We wholeheartedly support Jenny Sheehan for School Committee. She is exactly what Lynnfield needs and deserves at such a pivotal time for the direction we want our school system to be headed. We have known Jenny for 15 years, and she is thoughtful, diligent, honest, caring, and truthful. All of these were on display when she was one of the first members of our community to question the classroom sizes and bring attention to the issue. Through her relentless pursuit of what was best for the children of Lynnfield, she was vocal and informed many in the town of the egregious policies that would be detrimental to everyone’s children. She did this with a commitment to understanding the objective data and facts… all of which unveiled the unraveling of the previous School Committee, as they showed hubris when she approached them to defend their own policies. She demonstrated the tenacity and commitment to push for the best interest of the students by never taking no for an answer and demanding open and transparent dialogue. She took action when many didn’t, and all of our children are better off for it.
We have an amazing town, with incredible people. The bedrock of our town is the amazing school system. Jenny Sheehan is the quintessential candidate to ensure that we continue the standard of excellence everyone in our town wants and expects. She is someone we can trust to do the work, build the relationships, and forge the trust with our teachers, administrators, and the community. With her representing our children, I know we will have an advocate for the best possible policies to ensure the students will always be put first. We are at a critical juncture for our School Committee and we believe Jenny is the perfect person to rebuild trust and steer the school system in the right direction.
