The Peabody Historical Society is offering a $3,000 scholarship to residents of the city who are full-time college students in their sophomore year or beyond.
The George & Rachel Shaw Scholarship is administered by the society and funded by Sylvia Foster Marble in honor of her parents. Applications, which can be found at the society headquarters at 35 Washington St. or online, are due March 22.
Completed applications can be emailed to info@peabodyhistorical.org, or mailed to the Peabody Historical Society & Museum, 35 Washington St., Peabody, MA 01960.
Students who have previously won the scholarship are ineligible to receive it again. The committee responsible for doling out the scholarship reviews all applications anonymously.
