January programs from A Healthy Lynnfield

A Healthy Lynnfield kicks off 2024 with ‘Guiding Good Choices’ program

A Healthy Lynnfield announces its first program of 2024, titled “Guiding Good Choices.” This interactive four-week program offers conversation, skills, and practice to help parents, grandparents, and caregivers raise resilient kids who make positive choices. Parents will be able to learn how to set clear family boundaries, strengthen family bonds, help kids say no to risky behaviors, foster independence, and set expectations for pre-teen and teen years. This program is designed for parents/caregivers of youth grades three, four, five, and six. Session dates are Wednesdays, Jan. 10, 17, 24, and 31. The program will be held at the Huckleberry Hill School in the All-Purpose Room from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. Registration is required. By registering, you are registering once for all four sessions. If you need to miss one of the dates, don’t worry, the A Healthy Lynnfield team will catch you up. A minimum of 8-12 participants are needed to run this program. Childcare may be available for children ages 3-12 with pre-registration. Parent and caregiver podcast discussion

The Parent Advisory Group for A Healthy Lynnfield is partnering with Riverside Community Care on two podcasts.  You are invited to join other parents and caregivers along with a parent facilitator and an experienced clinician from Riverside Community Care for these podcasts focused on the mental health and well-being of our youth. Participants will independently listen to two assigned podcasts (one per session) prior to a virtual discussion. The group will then come together on Jan. 11 and Jan. 25 at 6:30 p.m. via Zoom for 60 minutes to review what they learned in the podcast and share strategies and experiences. You can attend one or both sessions. Register for the podcast and discussion links at http://ahealthylynnfield.org/current-events. Please contact Diana DeLeo directly if there are any language or accessibility needs at DeLeoD@Lynnfield.k12.ma.us
