A local resident won $20,000 a month for 10 years in the Massachusetts Lottery’s “Decade of Dollars” $10 instant ticket game.
Ronald Kocur purchased his ticket while getting coffee and gas at 5:30 a.m. at Gulf Express, 160 Andover St. in Danvers. Kocur chose to receive his prize as a one-time payment of $1.56 million before taxes, and plans to spend his newfound winnings on a car and college tuition for his kid, according to a statement published to the lottery’s website.
The Danvers store will receive a $24,000 bonus for selling the winning ticket to Kocur.
