With Massachusetts expecting its first significant snow of the winter season, the city is still seeking experienced snow plow operators.
Applications for snow plowing service in the next winter season are now available from the Purchasing Department at City Hall.
Experienced snow plow operators are encouraged to offer suitable equipment by completing the city application, and returning to: Public Services Department, 50 Farm Ave., Peabody, MA 01960.
Applications as processed at Public Services are required to include: evidence that City Garage has inspected the vehicle/s; and evidence of insurance, containing information related to covered vehicle/s on the application.
Applications will be accepted until deadlines set forth in the application or until otherwise canceled by the Public Services Department.
The city especially needs vehicles over 12,000 GVW for certain routes. The city reserves the right to accept/reject applications, as stated in application documents.
