The 2024 edition of the popular Peabody Municipal Light Plant (PMLP) historical calendar is now available at several locations in Peabody and Lynnfield, including the PMLP office at 201 Warren St. Ext. in Peabody, all branches of the Peabody Institute Library, Peabody City Hall, Lynnfield Town Hall, and Energy Credit Union, as well as many local banks.
This is the 12th year the PMLP has published the popular large-format calendar. The pictures from yesteryear are always fun and the captions informative. Energy tips throughout provide information on conserving power, purchasing efficient appliances, and more.
In 2023, for example, the calendar featured a photo of the old Planters Peanuts on Route 1, of Kimball and Boyd in Lynnfield, and a photo showing the damage incurred by the hurricane of 1938 in Proctor’s Crossing.
The 2024 PMLP calendar includes pictures of the Hamblet & Hayes Company, Suntaug Lake, West Peabody Speedway, and the Lynnfield Community Bus Company, among others. The photographs have been provided through the generosity of the Peabody Historical Society and Museum, the Lynnfield Historical Commission, Lynnfield Historical Society, and JC Marketing Associates of Wakefield.
Calendars will be available to PMLP customers only while supplies last.
