Lynnfield Village Home and Garden to host an open meeting Oct. 23

The Lynnfield Village Home & Garden invites the public to its meeting “Get Planted” with Mark Heyda, Monday Oct. 23 at the Meeting House on the Common at 7 p.m. Tickets are $10 at the door and come with one free raffle ticket.

Presenter Mark Heyda will discuss the beauty and simple pleasures of perennial gardens: designing a garden with perennials includes attention to foliage, form, seasonal bloom times, height, color, and integration with other plants. He will also discuss soils and soil amendments which are key to successful plant growth. Heyda will also share his favorite plant selections and provide handouts for reference. For additional information, visit Natures-gardens.com.

Heyda enjoys researching and drinking wines while relaxing in his gardens. He will also present his tips on purchasing and presenting wines for various occasions.
