Green Day Recycling is holding an electronics recycling event on Saturday, April 29 in the parking lot at the St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, 127 Summer St. from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Green Day will accept all electronics, items with a plug and/or batteries, bicycles in any condition, and appliances based on the following fee schedule:
- $5 each for video game consoles, DVD players, VCRs, small printers, radios, speakers, digital cameras, clocks, trophies, frying pans/cookware, holiday lights, and other small electronics.
- $10 each for vacuum cleaners/Roombas, toaster ovens, ceiling fans, floor lamps, air fryers, electric grills, hot plates, small radiators, keyboard pianos, coffee makers, ice makers, and other small appliances.
- $15 each for flat-screen computer monitors and small microwaves.
- $20 each for televisions up to 24″, CRT computer monitors, dorm-size refrigerators, dehumidifiers, air conditioners, water coolers, large printers/copiers, heat lamps, heaters, empty propane tanks, and range-top/large microwaves.
- $25 each for 25″-31″ televisions, washing machines, dryers, stoves, dishwashers, large appliances, outdoor grills, treadmills/other exercise equipment, snow blowers, lawn mowers, rototillers, power washers, large yard equipment, and water tanks.
- $30 each for televisions between 32″ and 35”, large refrigerators, and ride-on lawn mowers.
- $35 each for televisions more than 36″.
- $40 each for projection televisions.
There is no charge for cell phones, bicycles in any condition, wires, cables, car batteries, household batteries, keyboards, tablets, VHS tapes, or DVDs. A cash donation in lieu is suggested.
Residents from all towns are welcome. The event will be held rain or shine. Cash is preferred and checks of more than $30 will be accepted. For questions or more information, contact Green Day at GreenDayRecyclingMA@gmail.com.
