Last year, Lynnfield Rotary hosted a Build A Bed project. Working with volunteers from our community, it built 10 beds for children in Massachusetts. Volunteers ranged in age from 8 to 91 and all had a wonderful experience. Everyone went home knowing that their work that day had a significant impact on the extended community.
This year, Rotary has doubled its commitment from 2022 to provide 20 beds. Lynn-based “A Bed For Every Child” will provide lumber, fasteners, tools, and expert instruction to construct the bed frames. People will work in groups of up to four builders.
The beds cost $350 each.
Following completion, the beds will be sent to Lynn where a mattress, pillows, sheets, and blankets will be added. The finished product will be delivered to the home of the recipient child.
To participate, you can sponsor a bed for $350. This will allow your team of four to join the event and build a bed. If you prefer, the same donation will allow a bed to be constructed by other volunteers in your name.
Individuals can be added to an existing build team for a donation of $50.
All other donations will be applied to the cost of the event. This is not a Rotary fundraiser.

In case of rain, the event will be held at the Lynnfield South Fire Station at 600 Salem St., Lynnfield.
Beds will be assigned based on the order in which checks are received.
