Friday, April 14

Summons

Geoffrey King, 52, 8 May St. Peabody was summonsed on charges of operation of a motor vehicle with a suspended license and operation  of an uninsured motor vehicle.

Thursday, April 13

Arrest

Scott Lee Schrempf, 43, 148B Washington St., Peabody was arrested on outstanding warrants from Lawrence District Court for assault with a deadly weapon and a false crime report.

Summons

Frido Larose, 36, 62 Lowell St., Apt. #1, Peabody was summonsed on charges of assault and battery.

Animal Control

A report at 10:10 a.m. of abandoned dogs on Spring Pond Road. Police were unable to located.

A report at 2:07 p.m. of a turtle in the road on Lowell Street near Crystal Lake. The turtle was gone on arrival.

A report at 6:57 p.m. from a caller who said his mother was harassed by juveniles at 85 Tremont St.

Complaint

A report at 10:57 a.m. of a neighborhood dispute over property at 26 Endicott St.

Fire

A report at 10:08 of heavy smoke in the air at 25 Farnham Ave. Police extinguished the bonfire.

Shoplifting

A report at 4:13 p.m. of shoplifting at Stop & Shop, 19 Howley St. A juvenile was detained and taken to the police station.

Unwanted Person/Guest

A report at 8:06 a.m. of an unknown person sitting on the deck at Rainbow Adult Day Care, 210 Lowell St. The person left without incident.

A report at 5:54 p.m. of a person sleeping in the garage at the back of a house at 6 Fulton St. The owner said the person was not welcome and subsequently filled out a trespass notice.

Wednesday, April 12

Arrest

Joseph S. Burhoe, 54, of 118 Old Ironside Way, Charlestown was arrested and charged with carrying a firearm without a license, possession of ammunition without a federal Identification card and carrying a loaded firearm without a license (C.269. S.10(n)).

Accident

A report at 1:32 p.m. of a motor vehicle accident at 5A Webster St. The caller said his friend hit the building. The Fire Department was notified that a sprinkler head had been hit and was leaking water. An operator was transported to Salem Hospital.

Assist Citizen

A request at 8:33 p.m. from a caller who said she was locked in her car at the Northshore Mall.

Motor Vehicle/Complaint

A report at 10:25 p.m. from a caller who said a black SUV pulled into the parking lot at Bertucci’s Pizza, 15 Newbury St. who put a child’s car seat down and drove away. The caller was concerned there might be an abandoned child still in it. Police determined there was no child in the seat and that the family had pulled into the lot to rectify an issue with a car rental agency.

Complaints

A report at 10:39 a.m. that someone dumped several tires outside 20 Wallis St. Police determined that an employee moved tires around the lot without telling anyone.

A report at 4:37 p.m. from a business line caller who was making irrational and irate comments about law enforcement officers. After he expressed his deep feelings, he disconnected the call.

Identity Fraud

A report at 11:01 from a resident at 5 Stevens St. Apt. #2 that an unemployment claim was made using her information.

Tuesday, April 11

Arrest

James Edward Mezzetti, IV, 38, 12 Crowninshield St. Apt. G9, Peabody was arrested on an outstanding warrant from Salem District Court for impersonating a police officer and two counts of assault with a dangerous weapon and assault and battery.

Animal Complaint

A report at 10:41 a.m. from a caller at Blaney St. complaining her neighbor’s dog is always  loose and defecates in her yard. Police said this is an ongoing neighbor dispute between 12 and 12B Blaney St. Police will mail a citation warning and copies of leash law and waste removal law to a resident.

Disturbance

A report at 11:48 p.m. of parties having a heated argument over parking at 4 Aborn Place. The matter is the subject of an ongoing dispute

Unwanted Person

A report at 1:39 p.m. from the general manager at UTC Aerospace, 1 Fifth St. who said an employee who was terminated the day before returned today and was refusing to leave. The employee packed his belongings and left.
