Mansfield recognized by Lynn Chamber for excellance

In recognition of his outstanding service to the town, Lynnfield resident Kirk Mansfield has been honored by the Greater Lynn Chamber of Commerce (GLCC) with its Lynnfield Town Pride Award 2023.

The presentation took place at the chamber’s annual Business Excellence Awards at Danversport Yacht Club in Danvers on March 16.

The GLCC said that the Lynnfield Town Pride Award is awarded to an individual who embodies the pride of the town. Mansfield was singled out for his service to the town, including on the Lynnfield Historical Commission as the chairman, the Lynnfield Conservation Commission as vice chair, Historic Lynnfield, Inc. as the clerk and co-founder, and the Pillings Pond Sub Committee as chair.

Mansfield’s Lynnfield roots go back to the early 1900s. His great-grandparents were owners of many of the original cottages on Pillings Pond. His parents were owners of the Lynnfield Village Footman. Mansfield lives in his family cottage where he grew up on Pillings Pond, which he continues to lovingly restore in honor of its historic nature. He is also writing a book about the history of Pillings Pond.

In addition to his work in Lynnfield, Mansfield is the director of corporate and community relations at North Shore Music Theatre in Beverly, where he is involved in numerous charities, chambers, and tourism organizations. Mansfield is also known for his dedication to his work with multiple animal rescue organizations throughout the region.
