Living Strong at the Y 5K

The YMCA of Metro North and the Torigian Family YMCA are holding the LiveSTRONG at the Y Half Marathon at Lt. Ross Park in Peabody on Saturday, Nov. 19.

The road race benefits Livestrong at the Y, a 12-week program that helps cancer survivors regain strength and vitality after treatment.

Runners and walkers of all ages can support the Livestrong program by signing up for the family-friendly event. Registration includes post-race refreshments and awards for the top runners in several age categories.

The race begins at 8:30 a.m. at the park, located at 32 Johnson St. in Peabody. Race-day registration and packet pickup for pre-registered participants begins at 7 a.m. Packets can also be picked up prior to the race on Thursday, Nov. 17 from 3 – 6 p.m. at the Torigian YMCA, 259 Lynnfield St., Peabody.

The race features chip timing by Bay State Race Services and guaranteed T-shirts to those who register prior to Nov. 5.

The race is the final event in Metro North’s 2022 Road Race Series. Prior races include the Saugus Family YMCA’s Not a Race in the Park 5K through Breakheart Reservation, the Demakes Family YMCA ‘s Stride Along the Tide 5K along the coastline of Nahant and the Melrose Family YMCA’s Spooky Spirit held in downtown Peabody and Pine Banks.
