PUBLIC HEALTH AGENT $55,000 – $65,000: The Town of Lynnfield seeks a full-time professional to manage public health programs and promote good health practices within the community, and to implement policy directives of the Board of Health. The agent plans, implements, and evaluates a wide range of health programs including community disease control, immunization clinics, environmental protection, monitoring of health hazards, licensure and permitting, and various health education and outreach programs. Specific responsibilities include: preparing and managing budgets; supervising staff; investigating and reporting on health issues; performing routine and follow-up inspections of food service establishments, swimming pools, septic system installations, housing inspections, recreational camps and other regulated establishments in accordance with the State Public Health Code, State Sanitary Code, State Environmental Code and rules and regulations of the Town’s Board of Health. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree required. Master’s preferred, in public health, nursing, or a related field; 4 or more years of experience in public or environmental health administration; strong leadership and communication skills.
