Beacon Electrical donates truck to Arc

Gerry McCarthy, the executive director of Northeast Arc, accepts the keys from John Pedra to a 20-foot truck donated by Beacon Electrical Supply Company. Pedra, the owner of the Peabody company and a Lynnfield resident, was looking to trade in one of his trucks at Danvers Ford, but the manager at the dealership informed Pedra Northeast Arc needed a truck for shipping and receiving operations at Heritage Industries in downtown Peabody. The organization planned to put the truck, which is only five years old and in tip-top shape, to good use immediately. Heritage Industries provides training and connects disabled adults to paid jobs.
