LAWRENCE - Central Catholic girls basketball team, and senior center Katie Zenevitch in particular, were simply unstoppable Tuesday night as they routed a very good Peabody girls squad, 80-45, at Lawrence High School in the North semis. Peabody ends its season at 19-4, while CC (21-2) will now square off against Andover Friday at the TD Garden for the Division 1 North title (4:15).
Playing in what was essentially a home game in front of a sea of red-shirted fans, the 6-foot-3, Boston College-bound Zenevitch torched the Tanners both inside and out on her way to a game-high 34 points to go along with 13 boards.
Wrapping up her stellar four-year career with the Tanners, Janelle Rodriguez had a team high 14 points, while fellow senior Brittany LeFave chipped in with 11 points including 3 trifectas.
