PEABODY – The Peabody Area Chamber of Commerce has announced its new slate of officers for the 2009-2010 year.
Mary Ellen Kavanaugh, of R&L Associates, will chair the board, flanked by vice-chairs Chuck Holden, of Holden Oil, and Susan Wood, of Lahey Clinic. Glen Boutchie Jr., of Danversbank, will serve as board secretary and Gayle Cavanaugh, of Eastern Bank, will act as the treasurer. The past chairman is Dr. Nick Sarantopoulos of Community Credit Union.
The Board of Directors for 2009-2010 are Cindy Backe, Phil Richards & Associates Insurance; Mary Bellavance, the city of Peabody; Robert Dionne, Atlantic Ambulance; Dave Gravel, GraVoc Associates; Don Kelley, Wayside Trailers; Wendy Mack, Mack Realty; Gretchen Manning, Marian Court College; Patricia Merolle, Winning Inc.; Steve Morad, Mr. Handyman of South Essex County; Christopher Pesce, North Shore Bank; Anthony Picano, Webster Bank; Wendy Pearl, Community Greetings; Andrea Kantaros, Salem Five; Joe Riley, Eastern Bank; Michelle Talisman, Peabody House; Rudy Van Oeveren, Peabody Financial Services; Speros Venios, St. Vasilios Greek Orthodox Church, and Billy Woods, Jr., Woods Insurance Agency.
To be considered for a board position, members have to be an active participant in at least one chamber-related committee.
