While the Weekly News has a full-time staff, we also rely on announcements sent in by our readers. The deadline for editorial submissions each week is Monday at 3 p.m.
We invite readers to share their thoughts on news coverage or other local issues through letters to the editor. Letters must be signed by individuals and be legibly typed or printed with the author's name, address and daytime phone number. Letters should not exceed 300 words in length unless approval of a lengthier letter has been received in advance from the editor. Longer letters will be edited for length or not printed.
